Edist compatibility

Hello all,
Maybe someone can answer my question. I have a edist for ls1 coils part number 30-5001 and i need to know if it will work as a universal edist(#30-5000) to drive a msd dis4. I know that the universal edist will do both.
I tried calling the FAST tech line but seems like everyone is always away from their desks.

The 30-5001 eDist will not control the DIS-4. You need eDist part number 30-5000 for this.

The best bet is to leave a message if you don't connect to someone right away. The phones have been extremely busy lately.
