Having problems out of the block off plate. After going into boost it blew the gasket twice causing vacuum leak. Any recommendations??

Are the bolts that hold the plate too long? May not be compressing the gasket enough. Metal gasket.

Using the gasket isn't worth a sh*t! I used the EGR bracket and modified it to put pressure on the top of the pl;ate along with "the right stuff" silicone. No leaks I'm sure many just use silicone without the bracket, but I didn't want any problems. I'll shoot you a pic of the bracket.

Here's a pic. It will take you 10 mins if you have a welder

When I looked at running a plate. I was going to drill and tap for two small button head cap screws to hold the long end down. It's just too much mechanical advantage levering on that 'flap' of a bracket.

Plate has metal gasket and used high temp gasket maker under it. Blew it again

Yes it has metal gasket. Used bolt that came with the plate.

Did you just weld a bar across the top?

Just use the right stuff and let it sit overnight. 27psi and no issues.

I ordered a new gasket and will use high temp sealant as well and let it sit overnight. Will update the results.
