Got my "new to me" electric fan in the mail today, so what next? It is a stock I/C fan. What do I need to hook it up as it would be in a stock I/C car?
Thanks, Steve

One idea is to get the Caspers 84/85 electric fan conversion kit. Thie will require an 87 ECM. Brad

Well the ECM upgrade was next on my wish list anyway.:) So once I have converted to the 87 ecm then the fan should be plug and play? Does the fan mount into existing holes or do I have to drill? Any pics of the install out there?
Thanks,
Steve

Do you have the metal shourd swap?
It should bolt up to that, not sure tho.
anybody with the IC fan on a HA post some pics for our fellow HA buddy.

The 87 fan will be plug and play once you install the Caspers Fan conversion kit. This kit is easy to install and has a single relay which takes the load off the battery. Get a TT chip. This way your fan is automatically controlled by the ECM. No switches or crap plugged into the radiator fins. The fan attaches to the radiator using simple plastic clips which push through the radiator fins-sort of like zip ties. Any auto parts store will have them. BRAD

How can I safely hook this up until I can get the relay kit? (May be a payday or two away). It has 3 wires from fan coming into the connector, which should be ground and which is hot etc...

My advice is leave your car down until you get the Caspers conversion kit and the TTchip. My 2 cents. Brad
