Electric fuel pump pressure

OK guys, been a while, but need to get some more info from the GURU's. The '28 Essex is running, but is hard starting. Might be the electric fuel pump. Appears to be starved for fuel at idle. What fuel pressure should I have at the carb? I am using an internal fuel filter.

If using a Q-jet, no more than 4.5 to 5 PSI Dan. If it's starving at idle but not above that then it's something with the idle circuit.

Change the fuel pump, solve problem!!!
