Engine Block ID Number Location???

Where is the engine code located? Is it The same as a small block chev.

The Buick V-6 doesn't have the engine code stamped on the block like the Chevy motors. The code was on a label and was usually stuck on the left side valve cover. We usually just go by casting numbers. The 109 casting is what 99% of us care about as far as the stock block go. The only thing stamped in the block is a partial VIN from the car it was installed in.
