I have an almost complete stroker 109 engine build that I was helping another long time Buick guy out with who has fallen on hard times. His wife is battling brain cancer that has returned and is more aggressive this time. To make matters even worse his Dad has end stage Leukemia and is now in Hospice. Needless to say medical bills have been stacking up and he has to bail on his engine build and maybe his GN all together.
Right now, the short block is completely assembled with cam installed and degreed. The heads are assembled and ready to install. I have the front cover out getting that Aquablast deal from Steve V. I am waiting on some parts like, lifters and a balancer and can finish assembling the complete motor. Or we can piece it out short block and top half etc. He is open to offers.
Shortblock:
Fully machined 109 Block, 3.810 bore, Steel center caps with ARP studs
3.625 4340 Crank new internally balanced 50/50
5.970 GN1 Performance H-beam rods with upgraded P1 rod bolts
Clevite P-bearings rods and mains at 0025
DSS Racing 6213-3810 pistons with 15cc dish, heavy wall tool steel pins with heads listed CR is 10:75:1 so plan on E85 build
Total Seal Ring set with Steel top ring napier second ring and std tension oil control rings gapped for boost!
Complete Weber Racing billet roller cam assemble 212/206 with Rollmaster timing set installed and degreed.
RJC oil pan deep sump black
He has $6800 into the parts and assembled SB above. I built the SB and have all the specs details etc. Again all parts are NEW
In addtion I have the front cover assembly which is a ported GM front cover which will be Aquablasted with ARP bolt kit and blueprinted HV oil pump kit.
Parts needed will be balancer, flexplate and Hyd rolller lifters along with flexplate and oil pan hardware
Topend
Brand New GN1 heads from current Champion fully ported with 1.94 SS and 1.60 inconel exhaust valves. It has Comp Cams springs with CM retainers and locks, We set up the heads and I have the specs written down but don't remember which springs I used might be 914s. I have several options on springs if someone would need something different. Rockers are brand new T&D individual shaft mount 1.65 ratio. Again this stuff is all new. He has $6800 into the heads and rockers, make offer.
FYI the intake is sold heads but Spoolfoot billet valve covers are available. He paid $1000 for the valve covers.
I also have head stud kit and Cometic headgaskets and a set of Felpro 1200 intake gaskets. The VC come with breathers and hardware to install including gaskets.
I also have a custom engine diaper made for the RJC pan, I actually had a 5 of them made and believe I have 2 extras which I plan to post soon. He has over $15k into what is listed above to finish the motor you will need a front cover assembly, neutral balanced balancer and flexplate, a set of lifters and pushrods along with some misc hardware and gaskets. FYI it cost MORE than $6800 to build that short block I gave him a deal on some of it since I had a lot of the parts already.
I am willing to complete the engine assembly and will donate my time to the cause. I will also be in BG and can deliver the motor there forfree or I can crate and ship anywhere via R&L carriers. The engine crates are $250 plus the frieght.
If interested make offers but please keep in mind his situation. Remember EVERYTHING is new nothing used or refurbished other than the block and front cover. I am willing to work with someone interested in having a complete motor and can even offer different chioces on some stuff like the cam and spring set up. In case you are wondering who I am I don't do this for a living, but I have been building these motors and racing them at the highest level for over 35 years now and have been going to BG since 1996.
Also remember all of this stuff was purchased at today's prices not what you could buy the stuff for in 2015!!
