Engine Weight...

I am tring to figure out some engine weights..

LC2 completely dressed.
LQ9 completely dressed.

T56

I am looking to see what a LS1/T56 swap would do to the weight of my car...

An LS1 is about 22#'s lighter than a stage engine. Unfortunatly, I can't tell you the weight comparison to a totally stock TR engine.

A stage block is about 40-50 pounds heavier than a stock block.

A stage engine would have alum heads, so it would weigh close to the same as a stock 109 engine w/iron heads.

Interesting! Never thought of it that way. I guess ur right tho.

What would the weight difference be between a TA block and a standard stage II block?
