I understand they used the slain Trooper's handcuffs on him. Fitting.
I think with the details that are coming out, they surprised him coming back to his "base" where his gun was. I'm sure things would have gone different if they didn't get the drop on him.Well, he portrayed himself as some kind of "soldier" and marksman. For such a "tough guy" you would assume he would go down fighting. I think everyone expected that. He folded like a cheap lawn chair. Didn't even give the authorities a chance to ventilate him.
