Anyone know who he is? Was rocking my dorky 87 gn hoodie last night at work some guy said his dad had a T for awhile got it from Eric Rankin who had a dedicated buick shop in Connecticut back in the day..

Guess in winter 2015 when we had all that snow the garage that it was parked in the roof caved in and totalled that same t.. he described it as white with blue interior & blackout packaged with split bench column shift.. rare bird.

I think Rankin was long gone before 2015. BUT thats my old mind thinking so take it with a grain of salt. Rankin had a GN. Remember it had an engine fire but in no time he was racing again. I think he had some family problems.

Ahh interesting.. found a few old threads about him from way back thru searching, seems like a good buick guy.. looks like another shop still active operates from there now total induction solutions.

Eric built some pretty fast stuff back in the day. I think he started phasing out in the late 90s, early 2000s, tho. He used to own Rankin Automotive, not sure if he's still in business or not.

I like the white ones... :)

Eric is out of the Turbo Buick game, has been for quite some time. I use to hang out at his shop in Manchester CT back in the day. He also worked on my 87 T. I haven't seen him in MANY years, but was told he's a mechanic working on BMW's and such now. I know his wife died many years ago, she was in her 30's He and Joe owned RanKin automotive up until sometime in the 90's. GREAT times. I use to go and race with him at the old Buick vs Mustang shootouts at Englishtown. I was on the Jr time, LOL. Oh the memories....

I went down to one of those buick vs mustang events in 2001, there was a station wagon racing kicking all kinds of ass.. driving back to new england I remember looking at the twin towers in amazement of how massive they were, 2 days later they were gone. The vibe in those times was all American, just everyone having fun.
