So I'm being told by a guy who saw the receipts of the guy who built and sold me my car that the turbo on it isn't a PT52 but is some stock hybrid junk. Why can't people be honest? He says it is basically a stock turbo with a really big compressor housing on it. Looking at the turbo it says Precision on it, so I know it's from them, and the compressor housing says 60 series on it. It does have a big ass inlet bell, 3" is what I would think, based on the fact that my maf tube is 3".
So I have no idea what turbo and what chip (harper doesn't make chips) are really on my car. My sig should read: '86 t-type, some turbo, 206/206, some chip. I know it really does have the cam because you can sure as hell hear that thing.
Argh. This would explain why it's capable of running 20psi with a low timing chip on the street with 0 kr..
Piss me off more. I just spent $400 in parts chasing down a stumble problem that turned out to be a bad wire.
