Exhaust Diverter - different than a Dump

Designing how I want my exhaust this Spring. For mildly modified GN's, there is the tried and true DP, Test Pipe (with or without dump) or Cat, Catback, etc.

In thinking about the test pipe and dump, during my searching, I came across noweeds. noweeds dot net. They make a universal single exhaust diverter, wired or wireless, that diverts ALL exhaust down when selected, whereas, it seems to me that most dumps we use on GNs dump some or most but not all exhaust downward. Appears this would easily fit in the space where the cat is today. Then, I would run a 1-to-2 Y after it to connect to the pipes and mufflers.

Yes, it is expensive but seems it will be really different.

What do you guys think? Any issues with this?

Thx.

Like other electric controls in exh systems...How long before issues?
As a reference: My 86GN/Stage 2 car, Dynomax 2.75", 3.25" DP, cutout made to be the main pipe, not an "offshoot". Dyno tested in back to back repeats, provided 4RWHP increase, when open.
Not 18Hp. [The stage engine was making a LOT more "steam" than that Camaro.]
Another comparo point>>> The OEM exh would likely be much more restrictive, than say, an aftermkt system. Thus the big reported gains.
My vote...Not worth the $$.
Just sayin:smuggrin:
