Exhaust Drone help

I have the 4 inch RJC. The Drone makes my head want to split open. Spoke with RJC. said I could put resonator in place of test pipe. Anyone done this or recommend one over the other. I doubt anone would do this but may as well ask..... I'll trade someone for the RJC 3inch.

I love the look and the sound from outside.... I just cant take the ear pain

How about a Hemholtz resonator? Check out a Corsa cat-back exhaust on a Pontiac G8. Woeks great but would have to be tuned to your exhaust. Check out the link below.

At what rpm/speed does it start at? My 3" was 45-65 mph. I purchased the rjc 5/4" but haven't installed it yet.

That's nice an all, but what exact measurements did he use and what did he measure in order to come up with the length and diameter of pipe used for resonance.

I think you would need to measure the freq of the drone then calculate the wave length that would be the beginning for the pipe length . You might be able to resonance test some pipe lengths to match up the length too

its the worst in 2 nd 3rd gear.. over 50 mph not as bad but still a bit much......I know every car is different but to say the piece has zero drone is misleading to say the least

I had very bad drone with flowmasters at the same speeds u are talking about. I put the manga flow on and drone went away completely.
