exhaust gas temp probe

where did u guys install it and what probe did u use? the only one i can find that might work is the 1/4 in. x 6 ft., braided stainless steel, street series, thermocouple probe kit by auto metter part #atm-5249. if you go to summitracing.com and type that part # in you will see it. but where do i put it?

I have mine installed just under my O2 sensor, most I have seen are here.

I had gotten my first probe from a local go-cart shop. They use egt's to tune the twostroke carts. Is was a clamp on type. Worked like a champ. My current probe came from Westach. It's the same k-type clamp on style probe. Here's their web site....

I have the SMC kit and I installed the probe 90* from the O2 sensor. Works fine for me so far.

Just below the 02 sensor seems to work well.
