exhaust hanger

Hello
My exhaust hanger at the converter is toast. Will it cause to much stress on the dp if I don't use one? I have a 3" single shot so it does not weigh as much as the duals I replaced.

Why is it toast?

It would likely be intact if it wasn't highly stressed. I'd find a replacement, even if it has to be aftermarket.
