I have a leak/Gap where the exhaust manifold bolts into the bottom of the turbo. It looks like it needs to be tightened. I see threads coming up from the bottom, and determined there is a 9/16 bolt head on the bottom side. Is this a bolt that can be turned, or is there supposed to be nuts on the bolts? I just dont want to break anything.

Those are a bear to get off. The turbo itself has three studs that go through the exhaust manifold. There are three nuts on the underside, so Liquid Wrench is your friend. Last time I had my turbo off, I bought a copper gasket for this connection to ensure a leak free seal.

There is a nice diagram that shows this connection here: http://www.cedarcrestspeedlab.com/techarticles.html Engine Diagram - lower half
