Exhaust Leak?

Would using a smoke machine up a tailpipe (with one side capped off) accomplish anything other than stinking up the garage, or do I have to disconnect the crossover pipe to check for a possible leaking header? Thanks

Don't disconnect anything. Place the hose in one tailpipe and seal then seal the other tailpipe. Blow smoke.
