I pulled the headers on my new motor to retorque the heads and I noticed that there is some oil on the top of the exhaust ports coming from the exhaust valve and the base of the guide. I thought this was weird so I checked my other motor and it was the same. I know there are no seals on the exhaust valves so I'm guessing oil on the valve stems gets into the port then gets pushed out with the exhaust gasses. Is this normal?

ALIL BIT WILL BE NORM. BUT IF ALOT THEN YOUR GUIDES COULD BE WORE OUT ..

if its just a lil shinney right around the guide itself it will be fine,,

I wouldn't describe the area around the guide as shiny. It is more like gooey black ooze, oil mixed with the carbon from my pig rich 009s I guess.
