Expensive NYC hotels.

I just tried booking a room in Manhattan for June 2nd.
Rooms are $400 to $500.
WTF!!!

Does anyone have a connection or a hook up on a reasonably priced hotel out there?

I'd be greatly appreciated.

I must've been away for too long.

The last time I stayed there 8 years ago I paid $175.

I know there's been inflation but 150%? That's just criminal.

If I can't find a descent price I'll just drive the 3 1/2 hours back home.

$400 can buy some nice TR parts.

Thats about the going rate in mid summer for manhatten. Just get back accross bridge or thru the tunnel into jersey a few miles and you will find reasonable room rates.

Look in L.I.C or queens near the 59th bridge just a 1/2 to a mile go over the bridge and you're in the the east side midtown Manhattan either by car or train. Good luck.

Yeah I've taken the train from New Haven a few times.

Maybe I'll do Stamford or somewhere near the border.
