Just put in my revised extender chip (version E), and having some trouble.
At idle in park if I stab the throttle the SES light flashes.
I checked and no codes are set in T-link or by checking the ECM w/a paperclip.
Why does it do this, anyone know the fix?

Also I have a deceleration problem unrelated to the chip.
Sometimes when letting off gas, the rpm's will drop to 500 and then bounce back to normal. Tried the IAC, and that was no help. IAC at idle in park are around 18, but I never really get the same # twice. in drive they are 30-50 counts.

Are you the shift lite option is not activated in the chip?

John

The ses light is flashing because its set up for launch assist.
You can turn it off with a scan tool.

I do have the shift light option on, I set it for 5300, b/c default was 5700 and I thought that was too high. I turned it back to 5700 to see if that would change anything and it didn't.
I do have the launch assist activated, but this is in park/neutral that the shift light comes on. Should it flash in park/neutral? My foot is not on the brake when this happens.
Any ideas on the deceleration problem.

Thanks everyone,

Ken

I haven't tried it in park but I know it flashes from idle in drive without the brake on if I "goose" it a little.

It will happen in any gear at 1/2 throttle or more. Clear the codes by unplugging the ecm to battery wire. That should set it back to where you would have to activate it first, before it would work(unplug esc/start car/ses light comes on/turn off car/reconnect esc/start car again and it will be activated again). Hope this helps!

You dont have to do all that with the newest extender chip.:D Just go into the correct cell and adjust the values with the gas pedal using your scan tool.
