External Gate D.P. Question.

I just picked up a ta performance external gate dp. The smaller pipe that releases back into exhaust is adjustable. Once i get my gate on etc do I need to weld it completely on or if I don't will I have an exhaust leak sound? Hope I'm describing it right

that or use a clamp.. not sure how its adjustable most are fixed and you use a standard gate recommended by the dp maker.

does it have a flex coupler or just straight pipe ?

That's a deep fit but I would still use a band clamp. Any idea what TA recommends?

Talk to Mike from ta and he said it's just like their headers with the slip fit. No real need to weld it. Once i get it going I'll post back..

it would only leak under boost anyway that seems like a pretty big slip fit
