Factory radio problems.

I recently installed a factory radio. I used a radio harness I purchased from eBay. I spliced all the wires together accordingly and the clock stays on until I turn my headlights on and then it turns off. Any idea What I did wrong? Also there is an aux for an iPod there is a black wire that comes out under where you plug the antenna in. I have no idea where to plug it.
