Factory Tach/Boost gauge

My factory tach goes to 6000 RPM as soon as you start the car and stays there and the factory boost gauge shows boost with very light throttle. Any ideas of what is causing this?? thanks for the input.

Yup.

Something to do with some kind of electrical resistance on the board that increases or something due to corrosion over time that causes it to read high or whatever.

Whatever the technical answer.....It's a goner.
