Just wanting to get an idea of how much to ask for my Stock 100k 200-4R w/ stock converter out of my 86 T-type. The trans is in great working order but I'm going to a three speed for racing.

My friend wants to buy it from me for use behind his 1986 Olds Cutlass w/ the 307. His is in bad shape and he wants to buy mine. Will it bolt up without any problems?

Also, does the TR 200's have a lower first gear than the Cutlass?

I've heard that GN cores can go for $600 as they are one of the few decently valved 200-4R's built.

It will bolt up directly, but with problems. (If I owned the Olds, I'd go for it).

The wiring for the torque converter is different between the cars. he could probably puzzle it out with diagrams if you give him the 4 prong plug off your wiring harness.
The speedo will read wrong too. He'll need to swap in both the driving and driven speedo gears from his car (but NOT the governor).
(Or maybe he could buy a driven gear that will work with the drive gear on your tranny's governor to avoid dropping the pan. Don't know on that).

Gearing should be the same.

yeah, the good 200 cores are expensive! I paid 500 bucks for a CQ core (an 85 SS core ) for my 87 SS; The 87 Buick "BR" are the best ones around, ive seen those for 800 core!!!
