i let my car warm up and drive it. the first oull i do, the car hardly makes 10 lbs. the sencond pull, it will spool right up to about 17-18 lbs. it will go back and forth when i do pulls. also if i brake boost, ill build right up to about 10lbs and launch and break loose and then the car kind of dies and then pulls back up to 15 -18 lbs. theres no consistent boost pull? could it be my wastegate?

A lot of things could cause this condition.
A soft or collapsing MAF hose, a crushed or clogged air filter, even a partially clogged cat converter could cause this. As well as a malfunctioning wastegate and or wastegate solenoid.
We need to know how your setup is plumbed currently.
What turbo?
What wastegate?
How is the wastegate plumbed?
Stock? With a boost control valve? Or with the factory wastegate solenoid?
What chip are you running?

Is there any detonation going on?
Let us know more about your combo as well.

stock maf, newer k&n9 inch cone. hard inlet pipe. adj wastegate, stock selenoid. red;s 93 chip. te-44. no detonation. there was until i adjusted the voltage on the tps. its extremely smooth it just feels its holding itself back sometimes when the boost isnt at its full potential or when its falling off from about 17lbs. i know the car has run on abot 21 22 lbs before. would i adjust the wastegate manually after fixing this current problem to up the boost to about 20 21lbs?

Sounds like what mine is doing, it maybe the crossover pipe connecting the headers, at least i thinks thats my problem.

Maybe the swing valve assembly is binding.

both the headers and cross over were just looked over and powder coated not to long ago i know there ok. what do u mean by the swing valve? the waste gate flap? i thing its something with the wastegate or selenoid?

The shaft and related hardware that the wastegate actuator levers on.

i think i kinda found the problem. i know this isnt kosher at all. there is a little hole that must have been caused by heat, or old age on the turbine housing of my turbo right where the wastegate mechanism is.. its a te-44. would this cause a loss of prssure building? my second guess whould be the selenoid i think. if not either of those culd it be the accuator and how would i test that.
