after i turned my car off my fan would run. this was normal, but then it got worse. the fan would run until it killed the battery. so i did some research on here and pulled the delay relay. so my question is.....do i need to replace the relay? or will the car be fine with out it?

TIA,
-josh

Just to reiterate what Steve advised, disconnecting it won't hurt anything from my limited experience. Most of us have 160 degree thermostats & decent radiators anyway, so it just eliminates a possible problem. HTH

I had the same problem with the fan running after shutting off the car. My fan relay has been unplugged for about a year now.
No problems at all.

I had the same problem, did the same thing, and now my fan will not cut on by itself at the programed turn-on temp. I had to wire a high-speed manual switch???
