Fastest bolt on car??

What's the quickest anyones gone with bolt ons?? I mean springs are cool, but what's the fastest?? And what was the combo??

I was curious because my buddy has one running 11 teens right now and should be in the 10's by the end of the season...I would like to repeat what he has accoplished expectially since I did a lot of work on his car and I'm a idiot.

Tim Stockwell went pretty fast on a stock motor. When you get into the low 11's, you have to run so much boost that the odds of popping a head gasket are pretty high. That's why most people port the heads at this point.

I read Tim Stockwell's build up (thanks UNGN) and I noticed he also had a stock torque converter with the TA-61. His car ran awesome for the combo.

Ok let me ask a better question...What's the fastest iron headed, with a mild cam...I'm basically looking into just how far I can push it, ya know??

I went 10.98@123 a few nights ago with the combo listed below.
I'm doing the valve springs this week so hopefully it will pick up a couple of tenths.

yup,he was one of the guys standing there drinking a beer and laughing at you swapping out a front cover in the hotel parking lot .

btw,dan powell is going 11.0xx's with a bone stock longblock...and he tows it over 100mph with his truck.must be something in the northwest water.

My best times are in my sig. I hope to improve some after I get my converter tightened up. BTW, I've never blown a head gasket. Car weighs 3560 w/ driver.
