Fastest with stock turbo?

Anyone know what the fastest ET/MPH is with the stock turbo?

I think it was Ed Brewer, 11.37 @ 116.5. Something along those lines.

Whats done to your 86 to run 11.80's? I'm trying to run 11's with my stocker as well.

Mild ported stock heads, EB 204/214 cam, 3"DP, 36# inj, 100#VS, V4 IC, 2800 stall, RA 30 degree race chip and some race gas (22-24lbs of boost). It was my second time out with the car. I am trying to get the launch edown and I am getting alot of knock at the big end. I have an exhaust leak too. I have to figure the knock first and then get that launch down. I keep pushing through the lights and when I hit about 2lbs of boost so that is all I am launching with. I am almost leaning on the exhaust leak making the knock sensor go off. My BLM's are way up there and they were not like that before and I wasn't getting any knock. Now I have the exhaust leak and the knock. I have direct scan and I need to get some runs recorded and see what I got. The chip was with the old combo (stock heads, sotck cam). I am hoping 11.50's but we will see. She definately has more in her! I am also going to lock the converter next time out and hopefully pick up some MPH. I hate chasing whether its false knock or real knock! It seems easier to chase real knock than false knock!

And he ran those times with an OE motor that as merely port matched! He did have a 3" DP, Hooker exhaust and meth injection.

I didn't know he ran meth too... Hmmm maybe time to put the stocker back on again to finish that quest:biggrin:

I think it was a light weight car from the factory on slicks.

Others on here really know the details on the car.

A lot of suspension work. I think he went 1.53 60'. Get a trans brake.

No. He had a TE60 or 62 i believe. At least 30psi of boost. Trans and converter were stock i think.

It was a factory moon roof, power car...nothing lightweight about it. It had a HR lower sway bar, no hop uppers, and boxed lowers. It had a stock cam, pistons, turbo, IC, intake, 36pph injectors, meth injection, and a few other small items...otherwise stock. It launched off of a SR trans brake with an Art Carr tranny and orange stripe converter.
