Saturday was quite a production with many of the wedding party involved with set up and tear down. The guys all met me in the hotel lobby at 7:30am to head on over and help me set up the tree and the ceremony display. We wanted to save the staff the hastle of setting up the unusual stuff.

When we got there 2 days prior to drop off all the decorations, etc, Sara (the venue event manager) told us they had 3 shelves down stairs for us to put our stuff on........We had 3 car loads...
Fast forward to Sat morning. Got the whole place set up no problems at all. Great, all set, everyone here and just about ready to start until they asked me for the ring/marriage licence I conveniently left in the hotel room.

....My friend Gerry in a complete panic took off to retrieve them and I was bummin.......I'm like how could that happen?!?.... Sara went down a told Melissa and I continued roaming the parking lot.....I came up with the solution of using our car keys for rings.......Hey it woulda worked...
Sara comes up from down stairs and tells me Melissa's fine! She says it's all ok.....As long as he's still here..........
She's just unbelieveable........Just soooo not like her father..
Ceremony started about 20 minutes late, and then we continued to have the best day you could ever have......Everything went perfect!!
Our vows were based on Dr Suess that we tweaked on to make work for us. Def different and DEF worth the effort! Made the ceremony fun for all........When Grumpy walked her up to me, he got there and said......You bring the check?
My reply was...."Just show me the carfax"
We had my niece Brianna (I call her Bumble) do the Nepoleon Dynamite dance after my fathers best man speach. Complete with the actual sound clip/music from the movie. Only instead of her wearing a Vote for Pedro shirt, we had VOTE FOR OTTO shirts made.....Exact font and colors as the movie......She had the whole costume on. It was AWESOME!!!
Dinner was a Lobster buffet with little neck clams, swordfish, beef/chicken kabobs, corn on the cob, pasta, a whole bunch of stuff.......The food was INCREDIBLE!! Oh yea, champagne or ice coffee for the toast

, all the tables were named after race tracks, the head table was named "the tower"
Cocktail hour was test and tune on the tree for the qualifying/race after dinner. 400 pro tree, 16 car (person) field, first perfect light in qualifying 100$, first perfect light in eliminations 150$, runner up 250$, winner 500$. When we went out after dinner it was clear 16 cars wasn't enough. Cal/Holly (race directors) made the call to make it a 32 car field as 75-80 people tried to qualify. It was a good call......Once the field was set, eliminations went really smooth. It was hilarious to watch and was a big hit........Hell, the head coach of UNH college hockey went 3 rounds before being knocked out......Sunday he talked to Melissa's mom and told her he was watching drag racing on TV and could actually follow it now......He's a VERY competative guy!! Doesn't matter what it is, he wants to play....It was hystrical to watch. Everyone did a great job!
Congrats to the winners, Jamie Dion went 8 rounds to win 500$ and a friend of mine in the Marine Corps that flew in from Cali took runner up, 250$. There were no perfect lights....
Couldn't have went any better minus the "ring" delema......But it all worked out great in the end.
It's gonna be great to get back racing again......Right Grump?
BIG THANKS to Otto, Holly/Cal, Gerry, Jimy, Dan M, Donna/Grumpy for helping out!!! And a special thanks to Otto for not doing a burnout leaving this VERY nice facility.......
Biggest thanks to my wife Melissa for puttin together such an AWESOME "event" and puttin up with/marrying me.....
