Fiberglass dash plate

I wish someone would market a fiberglass dash plate that would replace the one by the windshield that always cracks from the heat and sun. Maybe it could be molded to house aftermarket gauges also. There has to be a better plastic or some other matierial that can withstand the heat and sun better than the original. I have seen replacement dash trim plates going for $100.00 or more. It seems to me that a better product could be produced.

Someone should check with S&K products out of Fla. They make reproduction ABS plastic bumper fillers so this may be up their alley. ABS should hold up well there.
