Depends on how picky you are for fit and finish. I had another vendors hood and hated it. Being in Florida there's no reason not to get Hartline's hood. It's in a class of it's own. The best hood out there without a doubt.

get it and let me come see it..LOL i was looking at it last night as well.

hey u needs some bumpers for free? how about some enkie gnx knockoffs?
i'm from jax too

cmefly, I have one of those e-bay hoods on my car and it fit like stock. FYI.
Glastek was the vendor.

I use the factory shocks, mine has a 4" cowl that I trimmed down so I could open the hood all the way, make sure it is a bolt on and not a pin on hood. I would recommend mine for a show car at least. I think the hood and doors look great.

Our hood looks EXACTLY like stock. It has the rear trim molded in, the edges appear to have spot welds, the underhood bracing is in place for a hood insulator, the threaded inserts are metric, etc... Even with the hood open, you can't tell it's glass. From what I've been told, the Glasstech unit is 2-3 pounds lighter. If your interested, we could coordinate delivery.

Cal, could you pm me a price delivered to Jax? TIA

do u mind posting the shipping here? you located in merrit island area?

I've seen the hoods that Cal sells and they are top quality. Your paint and bodyman will thank you too!!!

Had my car at the alignment shop today. Had a GN guy walk up from behind the car and the hood was open. He couldn't believe the hood was fiberglass. It's as smooth and correct looking as they can get.

Thank you Mike and Dusty  Rather than paying to ship them, why don't we meet halfway?

The Glasktek stuff is acceptable but you can see some waves and when open you can tell it's not even cut 100%. It sounds like Cal has the ticket for the stock hood and who cares about 2lbs if the thing fits and looks like the stocker.

BTW, Cal and Dusty, what MPH in the 1/4 do you guys recommend guys to pin the fiber hoods?? I'm not digging how I can see it bouncing while driving and mines not totally flush as is.

I recommend pins around 135mph. Are you saying you have our hood and it's not fitting correctly? Make sure the latch and rubber stops in the corners are adjusted correctly.

I'd put pins on any glass hood just for insurance.

Cal's hood fits mine so well that there are no gaps, the latch fit correctly and I can latch it down tight with just the factory latch. I added pins in the front corners for extra protection.

Dusty,Do you know the weight reduction using Cal's hood vs a stock one.
Thanks,
Jeff
