MY lockup on my TCC dosn't work, and I was wondering if it (not working) will effect the final overdrive ratio of .67 in my 2004R?

trying to caculate what RPMs are where for MPH, so I can be accurate in finding a sweet spot for crusing in my Buick Big Block Regal.

I know when the TCC is working it lowers the engine RPMs down about 200, is this the final ratio at .67 in overdrive?

If so what ratio would it be then?

Thanks

Convertor slip without the L/U is dictatated by the slip(stall) in the convertor. Final drive is the OD gear in the Tranny/rear end ratio then the final say so will be the height of the tire.
Stock on the GN's were 26" tall tires. A deviation taller will lower your final ratio, a shorter will raise it.

Final O/D gear ratio is fixed and doesn't change. What you will notice is the converter slip and the engine will work more to get the same results as if the lock up was working. Mark
