Ok well here's how my trans acts now..
It shifts into 2nd around 3,000rpm..and I was determined to get it to shift into 3rd today (which I have yet to do since I got it back, though I was told it got into 3rd) So I got on it alittle and got into 2nd around 30-35mph like usual..then it didnt shift into 3rd til prolly between 4,000-4,500rpm or around 65-70mph..
So how can I lower the shift points or make them better??
Will adjusting the TV cable help? I'm also hearing that I'd need a new governor, how much do they cost and are they easy to install??
Do you think this will help or is there somethin else that could be a problem??
Thanks

You might want to put this over in the Tranny section. Will probably get a quicker response there.

I wish I could help you but I personally done know the answer.

I dont know if this helps but I had a govenor go out in a turbo350 transmission and it would not shift into 3rd......I dont remember what they cost but it took about 5 min to change out...good luck

If the vacuum line going to the govenor is still good with no leaks then I would repalce the govenor they are cheap.

Ehhhh when I checked a governor was going for around $130..not too cheap, lol
That's why I wanna make sure that it's most likely the governor before I go spending $130 on one..
What else could it be?
