Well,

The forum is telling me that I haven't posted in several weeks, so here is post to get rid of the reminder.

After retiring from the Air Force last June, being unemployed for about six months, finding work, moving a couple of times, buying a house, etc., etc., I finally took the Buick out for some fun - for the first time in about a year.

I was living in Albuquerque (my house was at just about 6,000 feet elevation) and I have moved to San Antonio (house is about 850 feet elevation) via South Carolina/Ohio.

Let me tell you - the 5857 I put on in the high elevation of Albuquerque works a whole lot better with the denser air here in south Texas. Every stop light/stop sign I took off from had two new stripes laid down, which lasted easily through second gear when I would let out of it to gain some traction. I think I had an ear to ear smile the entire drive!

The car is really fun (at 20 pounds of boost), although it looks like I am going to need some drag radials to really enjoy the new found power at lower elevation.

rob, glad to hear back from you. glad to see all is well with you.

O, those San Antonio roads are some of the slickest i have ever had the pleasure to drive on. be carefull especially in the rain.

I could never live in San Antonio myself. To much of a military town ;)
