I was recently home and had one hell of a time tuning my SMC alk kit. I followed the directions to find very marginal improvements in the knock. I played with it a lot and found that i am either putting too much to early or not enough later. If anyone has any advice to help out please reply.

I can't help much. I dropped my kit in cranked it to 21 lbs and had zero knock on a 93 chip. Put in the 108 and turned up the dial a little and had zero knock.

Set it to come on around 12-13lbs if you get no knock, crank up the boost. If the o2s drop, turn up the fuel. Once you get that strait, turn up the boost and alky and make another run. I turn up the boost until the alky cant get rid of the knock with the pump speed set on 10. Then I drop them both just a touch, to be on the safe side.

If you are flooding out the alchy early on, you might try using ac-43 plugs. Also weak spark won't survive a lot of spray. Be sure the ignition system is up to par.

Might try using de-natured alchy, as well. It's more forgiving...
