I installed the Hellwig Pro-Touring Bar last weekend, but just got around to driving it for the first time today. Here are my initial impressions (but keep in mind my front suspension is already modified for better handing):

On the few curves in my local area, the car was capable of going faster through the curves than I was comfortable with. It stayed very level, especially compared to the stock sway bar.

The car launches nice and level and straight. It always tended to step the back end out one way of the other, but it stays for the most part pretty straight now.

When I used to get into the boost at 35-40 mph, the back end would always want to step out to the right. While I enjoyed this, my wife and any other passengers usually did not care for it and would end up leaving fingerprints in my headliner and simultaneously getting religion.

Now calling up 15-20 pounds of boost at 35-40 mph just results in two nice black marks and going pretty straight.

If anyone is one the fence about the bar, I would highly recommend it. And the price and free shipping through Amazon weren't too bad.

This was all done with the bar in the middle of the three settings.

would this be a noticeable improvement over a ATR bar. My complaint of the ATR bar is its heavy and noisy at times. Wondering if this would be worth going to?

I changed to a Hellwig from an ATR bar. Huge improvement! My 60" went from a 1.76 to a 1.62, but I did change shocks also. Lost all that weight and no more CLUNK! any more. I am very glad I changed over to the Hellwig.

Glad you are liking it rob.

Mine should be running again in a few days, I'm definitely going to try the middle setting now.

Granted 28" M/Ts and skinnys will never handle well.
