I'm with you on that no plates so that some what tells me it's a race car not a street car.

If you notice the parachute is mounted thru where the liecence plate would be. It's very common to make the chute detachable so it can be removed for street driving and once the plate is installed it looks clean and you can't see the chute mount. My buddy's 8 second Supra is set up the same way. Simply remove the plate and slide the chute mount into the receiver and it's NHRA legal then when done racing pull the pin and remove the chute mount and install the plate and it's clean and ready for street driving.
