SignUp Now!I am no professional with all of this but with my setup, 60lb injectors and 66 lbs. of fuel pressure at the top of 3rd gear WOT I am a little surprised that I need to add more fuel via the chip (stock cam unopened motor). Bottom line is I am running lean so I will start at 5% increase and add from there. I guess I need to find me a wideband.
Just thought everyone might want to see how my stock unopened engine did on the dyno.
Ok, here are the results of my 5 dyno pulls today.
1) Run 350 wheel HP – 393 TQ Base line @ 23psi
2) Run 350 wheel HP – 407 TQ Added 6.3% fuel all gears
3) Run 359 wheel HP – 420 TQ Added 1 deg timing 3rd
4) Run 372 wheel HP – 436 TQ Added one turn on boost controller
5) Run 381 wheel HP – 445 TQ Added one more turn boost total 26psi
The wide band that they had read the tailpipe was in the 11.5 - 11.3 area last run. My o2s were in the 750-780s WOT 3rd?
running on the edge of disaster there at 11.5 with meth and 93. why didnt you log those runs so we could have helped you better?
Gain set on 4....i don't even know how to lock the convertor...maybe someone could explain that to my dumb *%#Nice runs, What was your gain knob set at on the alky controller? Did you have the converter locked?
4 is low on the gain did you see knock? this is why you need to log runs. 5.5 is a good starting point for tuning.Gain set on 4....i don't even know how to lock the convertor...maybe someone could explain that to my dumb *%#

When I dyno'd my car on a Mustang dyno, running 93 + meth., I had to run almost a 12 afr to make power with no knock. I know I could only run around 10.8-11 afr on the street/track before I had knock. A dyno is just a tuning tool and not like real world street driving.
and thats why a dyno and real track time dont go hand in hand cause every dyno reads and runs different. now take for instance the op going to a dyno and bieng a newbee that could be disasterous if went to the track without changing anythingWhen I dyno'd my car on a Mustang dyno, running 93 + meth., I had to run almost a 12 afr to make power with no knock. Check out the kill section..after lunch special..that was after the dyno. No knock at all and car pulled great. even my o2s were in the 780s. I logged four out of the five runs. Forgot to hit the spacebar on the frist run..LOL caught in the moment.
Looks like it's running right where it should. Good job[/
Thanks, now I see the benefits of the wideband
San Antonio Lethal performance in Braken Tx, 30.00 dollars per pull or 150.00 for the hour......get the hour! You can google them.Hey Texas gn, mind telling me what shop you went to and what the prices were? I wouldn't mind putting mine up there to see what we can come up with. Thanks!
When i install mine i will have to inatall a mounting location on the downpipe...Thanks780 on Meth is good.on the dyno You were More than likely closer to 10.9 after. I would not trust a tailpipe. It needs to be by the AC box for accurately reading.
Need help here just put a AEM wide band in the car at an idlie it's in the low beween 11.0 to 11.5 rich when i am cruseing beween 1800-2000 rpm it in the lean side of beween 16.0-17.0 but when i give more gas it gose beween 12.0-13.0 now when i lay in to boost up to 20 lbs and witching the air/fuel it stays beween 10.0-10.7 and feels really good and pull hard and i think that i am safe there but not sure. help me know if i am wrong in some parts. thanks Eric
