Five-pod instrument clusters

Has anybody ever change the Regal basic three-pod instrument panel to a five-pod? I imagine the wiring is already there. It would just need the switches changed to sensors.

This would be a great way to pick up a coolant temp and voltage gauge.


I wonder if it would be worth changing a turbo cluster over to a NA five-pod cluster to gain the volt meter. The stock boost lights are neat, but they are useless once a good gauge is installed.

On mine the 5-pod gauge panel can be put on. But the wiring is not there, just the pods.

Do you know how hard it is to find a 5-pod gauge panel for these earlier cars? Finding an '81-'82 3-pod is an adventure so imagine a 5-pod? . '83 and up are abundant. Unfortunate for me I've been looking for a 3-pod for over a year now and gave up. I don't really need it, just wanted a spare.
