flare repair?

what do I need to replace to fix my 2-3 flare? Does it about 25% of the time. Car drives great other wise.

Rebuild....Bet the directs are done or dying...Billet forward drum and dual feed time

The 2nd gear band is definitely shot by now, and I'd bet that the direct drum is also burned up or in need of a machining to get the surface nice and flat. Sounds like it's time for a rebuild.

fixed it today. It was not flare, it was short shifting. Shimmed the servo and it works fine now.

When I had a flair I had my trans "freshened up" and that took care of it.
