Flexplate noise

Will a bad or loose flywheel make a knocking sound? Today I fired up my car new trans installed about a week ago and it's vibrating and making a knock sound while running once I loosened the tc bolts I noticed the flywheel can be moved left to right a lot of play is this my prob???

Yes. Anything that spins and is loose will make noise.

Make sure Flexplate to Crank is 60ft lbs.

Tighten the 3 converter to flexplate bolts. Use loctite on these.

Quite possible its smacking in to starter?

Never mind fellas the flexplat bolts are finger loose I think found my problem.... I'll tighten them and see if the noise stops I'm pretty sure it will
