I purchased the line lock installation kit from hurst. You get all those fittings and none fit the brake line from and to the powermaster. Went to pep boys and they dont have sh%^ but standard size fittings. 5/16 too small 3/8 too big. WHAT GIVES, IS MY BAD LUCK EVER GONNA RUN OUT?

Their metric. It s a pain in the neck. I went to my local has everything parts store and they had all I needed.

What parts will you need that don't come with the kit? I just bought a hurst kit myself.

You might give a call to Tim at Classic Tube (800) 882-3711 / (716) 759-1800. They make the best stuff, and he'll know what you need and be able to get it to you.

I was able to pick up everything that I need to install a Moroso line lock at the local NAPA store.

Could you give me the specs of the 2 fittings I will need or maybe the part numbers?:D I have a napa around here too.

The hurst kit is the one I had, it is worthless. I too have the moroso line lock. Just went to my local bumper to bumper, had nothing! what a PITA this is. I guess I'll try that Tim guy at Classic Tube tomorrow and see what he has.

That's why you mount the linelock down by the combination valve. The Kit Works great for that (contains everything you need)

the supplied fittings work fine if you install it where it belongs:)

just follow the brake lines down to the driver's side frame, just forward of the firewall.....

I have done a search on this subject several times. The same question keeps coming up. Does anyone know what the thread sizes are? I am going to install my line lock this weekend if I get time and I would like to know what size tee, brake line, and plugs are needed. That way I don't come out of the store with 10 different sizes. Do the auto part stores have books that tell them. Or do they take a shot in the dark? Thanks

It's standard 1/4" brake line fittings. You need inverted flare fittings to screw the brake lines into. Usually you use a pipe thread into the body of the line lock since they don't have tube ends, just straight thread. There are 90° fittings with pipe on one end and inverted flare on the other. T's are the same 1/4" inverted flare. Then it's simple plumbing. There are pics in a search of "line lock" here in the archives. You'll need one inverted flare male plug also for the prop valve.

SCOTT4DMNY,

If you want to put the Moroso line lock by the master cylinder, here are the part numbers for the fittings and brake line that I bought from NAPA. I'm not sure of the specs of these filltings, but they work. I was lucky as I had an extra master cylinder and brake lines in the garage. I just took everything to NAPA and they helped me with the fittings.

813-1155 - adapter (brake line about 6 inches long)
802 x 5 - fitting
202 x 3 - fitting

Well per UNGN's info, I checked the distribution block and yes the HURST KIT WORKS! Thanks UNGN for yelling at me! ;) Ok, now which line do I use from the distribution block. The one from the bottom (which goes to the drivers side caliper) or the one on top which goes to the passenger side? Or vice versa. I am not understanding the concept of going after the distribution block, because isnt it just one side or the other for the front? Or is this how it works? I just thought the line lock leads to both sides? Thanks guys!

Can someone tell me what the line lock does? What is it suppose to do. I know that it locks the brakes up, but when and for how long. It it lock them up all the time or just when you want it to. I know it may sound dumb, but I readly dont know that much about them and people tell me to get one.
