Installed a new LU Vigilante TC along with the assist tube. Trans. began to slip and is pushing fluid out of the filler tube. Suggestions???

Were you playing around stalling it with the foot brake more than usual or were you driving normally down the road when it vented?

Negative on the stalling. Have pulled it down, it appears something in the pump is stuck. May need a new one.

Sounds like some extreme heat or the vent tube may be clogged.

How does the fluid look?

Thanks for the replies. Never ran long enough to heat up. When pulled down, there was no fluid in the converter. Vent is not plugged. Thanks again.

Pump halves castings?

Can you verify the correct pump castings were used? On the front of the pump there should be a casting number. It will end in 149, 082, or 690.
The stator should have a casting number on the inside as well. It will be 150 or 088.
If they are mixed up, weird things could possibly happen. It is worth cking out.

Hope this helps
You got a good one. I would also ck to see the stator shaft is installed correctly. Make sure bleed hole in guide pin is open. These are just some things that come to mind.
If you wish to confir more on this, call me and we will try to figure this out.
one other thought was the TCC valve is in backwards.
Just thoughts

The trans. worked perfectly until I installed an assist tube for locking the Vigilante converter at WOT. Think I screwed it up somehow.

Good news. The car moves on it's on now. Jason White sent me a pump. I installed the pump and the car moves.
