God I hope so. Have you seen the vids of them reopening Flynn's arcade? They had a life-size lightcycle on display plus a playable version of Space Paranoids.

The last time I saw Tron was in a movie theater in 1982.

I even dropped a lot of quarters into the crappy arcade game back then.

Nothing to merit a "cult following" or a sequel.

I'm sure it will be as far beyond the original tron as the new Battlestar Galactica or transformers were from their originals, but it would also be really cool if someone in Hollywood had an original idea in their head.

It's Disney so it's expected. I'm just curious to see how well they render a young Jeff Bridges into the movie.

Probably like Arnold was rendered in T4. When they get the speaking and facial expressions algorithms down, we won't need live actors anymore.
