I just installed my PTC 10" TC last night and went to bolt it up to the flywheel and noticed that one of the holes,on the flywheel, is slight smaller than the other two to except the 7/16 bolts that came with the TC. If I drill it out will it mess up the balance of the flywheel creating a vibration. Thanks, ikle.

the instructions with the converter state to check the bolt fit before you install as it may require drilling ..so
drill it , it wont make any difference on the balance

I only checked one hole and it was fine, I assumed that all the holes would be the same diameter, but you know what happens when you assume, lol:eek:Thanks guys.

The smaller of the three is the one you tighten first, then the other two are ready to recieve bolts, always put that hole in the flywheel down when bolting up an engine to a trans or vice-versa.

Like has been said. I always drill the holes slightly over sized for the 7/16 bolt. Even the holes aren't in the perfect location all the time so having them slightly larger is a big help. The converter is welded on a jig so we have to hope your flexplate holes are in the exact position as out jig. This isn't always the case so going larger on the holes is the best way to insure it goes together as easy as possible.
