Greetings All,
I plan on replacing the trans yoke with a forged one. Twisted splines in the second stock one. :D
Which series universal joints are used in the stock drive shaft 1310 or 1350?

Thanks,
Don

1310

I am not sure I would bother spending the extra $ on the billet one you will just twist the splines in it too been there done that.. Other than the obvious not getting the yoke in the trans far enough to install the drive shaft what is the situation? If that is the biggest problem the solution is to take the yoke off the driveshaft and remove the freeze plug from the back... Take it to a small machine shop and have the splines removed from the point where they are twisted to the joint end (unused splines). If there are a bunch of guys that need it done we might be able to do a group deal or something.. Hope that helps shoot me an email if you have any other questions.. Dave

The removal and installation of the drive shaft is the problem. I had to pry it out again this time. The machining of the twisted splines seems like a good idea but Jegs lists a Inland Empire forged yoke for $54.99.

Has anyone used these yokes and do they hold up?

Don
