Ok I want to slap on some MT 325/50's and need a good 3/4 to 1" frame notch for this to happen. I stopped off at a very reputable auto body shop and the guy says that it will take 16 hours with them cutting and rewelding the frame back together?

This is not what I had seen some guys do on the board and 16 hours sounds way to long at $60 an hour.

For those who have done this,

What did it cost for the shop to do it?
How much was notched?
If you did it, how long and what was needed to do it?

At $1000 for a frame notch I wanted to laugh in his face and felt he might of been saying that to see if I would bite on the job.

I know of a couple guys in IN. that will do the job for $350

Lee's price is great. $400.00-$600.00 is around the price I have seen.

LeeO notched my frame so I can vouch for his work....top notch !

I did it with my friend.

A frame notch will NOT get those tires in there on a GN.

You also need a mini-tub and the right off-set wheels if you want it done properly.
