it's still not looking good though...my thoughts are with everyone in florida...hell that thing is so huge we may catch some of the remnants of it!

I hope the best for you guys. I was going to visit with you Floridians this week and made it down to Savannah, but I came right back home to Atlanta. That is one huge storm. Twice in a row just isn't right. I know everyone in its unpredictable path can't get away, so I hope you guys that stay are able to keep safe.

You're in our prayers

While everyone is evacuating , the wife and I have to stay and send our little one with family. My wife is a nurse and she doesnt even know where to go to work on Friday. The last thing Im worried about is the GN.

Being a Police Officer sux in this situation. I can not take care of my own family and home but im expected to take care of everyone elses. We have been activated to 12 HR. ("A, B") shifts with mandatory attendance. So much for boarding up the windows and we are now in ground zero.

Hey Louie I think I just saw you on FOX news knocking on doors. It was just a flash but it sure looked like you.

Louie and all you guys down there you're in our prayers be as safe as you can. Hope to hear from you soon with good news. Dave

Yep, we've gotten everything secured and tonight we're heading over to Gary Harmon's house. Only time will tell!

My parents are snowbirds with a double wide in Melbourne. They are here now, but we might coming down afterward to see what's left. :(

well guys, its starting to get bad down here.god bless everyone in s. florida and good luck. supposed to be leaving tommorrow and i dont think its going to happen.

Good luck to all you people in FLA. Having been through a few myself over here across the pond I have empathy for you.
At this time the weather channel is showing the storm has stalled. This is not a good thing because of the rising water from rain and tide.

I hope the power and services are able to recover as quickly as possible. I think the after math can be worse than making it through the storm itself sometimes.

Good Luck and stay safe.

That was likely me . We have been knocking on door for days now. Last night we were ordered to sleep at the Police station and just in case it really got bad. Well it looks like we will be doing the same again tonight. It wasnt too bad as there were lots of chicks but no BOOze!

Anyways we are getting a steady pounding. Roofs are starting to come appart and traffic lights are malfuctioning. My house is OK so far but i dont know for how long. The damage this thing is going to cause s going to be astronomical. Traffic light repars along will last for weeks. that means more forece over time. I havent seen my wife and baby in 4 days ...
Gotta go...

Its getting worse right as we speak...

I saw on TV this morning some of the damage. Also see power lines and transformers throwing sparks. Why do they not turn off power in some of these areas so it does not create an electrical hazard w/all of the rain when lines go down?

I hope this thing doesn't do what Andrew did and reform in the Gulf and come to La.

This Cane is moving so slow it won't be much by the time it gets in the Gulf. Looks like it's coming my way though!

Completely missed me! Woo Hoo We're maybe the only area in Florida that got missed. However, Ivan is looking nasty. This season is looking bad.

Im in Ray City, Georgia(a few miles north of Valdosta) and we're getting blasted by Frances right now. The power has been out the whole day and part of the day yesterday and the ditches are starting to fill up!
...and theres another Hurricane out there?!
