Thanks Greg, it was the solenoid. I replaced the filter while I was doing it.
I thought I remembered reading somewhere, that some people used silicone on the "O" ring. I guess that was with the older filters, mine was the orange one with the grommet going up the tube. I didn't use any silicone on it...should I have used any?
