We have this thing with tree frogs lately. Mostly the clear looking slimy ones. This one likes to hang out on the sign that hangs out our front door that has our name on it. Its hangs by one nail in the middle of the chain and he makes it lean. Its cool, i have some pictures that maybe i will post.
But today on the way home from work i met another. It was drizzling out. I saw what i thought was a wet leaf on the hood, up near the front left side near the body gap between the hood and fender. Anyway, after a little driving i noticed it looked like it was breathing. I came into some light and saw the little guy there. So i slow down so he wont blow off. Im thinking to myself he should move behind the bulge so he wont take flight. Amazingly, the next light he takes a couple hops and plops down behind the turbo bulge. Im laughing, and going real slow(well 45, thats slow to me). He positions himself so he's looking forward with his front flippers, or whatever they are, are propped up on the bulge. He's like a dog looking out the window. One time he got to high and almost went flying, so i hit the brakes. I called my wife to tell her and to see if we have any film, but of course we dont.
He ended up making it safe to my house and i escorted him to the wet grass for a very happy ending.

Thanks for reading my first story.

Sorry, I just don't escort frogs anywhere anymore. We had some in the shop during the spring rainy season and I tried to escort it to the grass and the son-of-a-gun pissed on me. Needless to say, that was the last frog I escorted anywhere :D (used a broom to push the next one out or just left them alone and they left on their own).

I live in a swampy area and I get tree frogs all the time! Engine, interior, and trunk you name it! Anyways I have a funny story too...

Driving across a 3 mile bridge that spans Escambia Bay I was doing about 60-70mph. Then I notice a tree frog pops his head out from the gap between my fender and hood. He then proceded to try to crawl onto the hood which he did succesfully. I was watching this as I was driving and laughing the whole time.

Then, the wind started to overcome poor tree frog. His right front leg came off the car, then his head started to peel back, and once his other front leg let go it was all over! He flew about a 60feet off the bridge into the bay!

Frogs can swim right?
