Front Cover Engine Oil Leak - Not what I was expecting

I needed some extra help (UV dye) pinpointing the source of 1 of 2 oil leaks and found one leak coming from the most unexpected spot (timing tab slot). Has anyone ever delt with a front cover leak in this spot? Should I tap and plug?

Haven’t had one like that, but npt tap & plug along with some thread sealant sounds like a good plan
